Devereux Lodge is a 4-star establishment built around two ideas that rarely share one address — a Victorian-style luxury guest house, and newly built modern contemporary villas. Guests move between them through a peaceful, leafy garden, past a sparkling pool, toward a breakfast table that regulars remember by name.

The sparkling pool at the meeting point of House and garden — West Wing rooms look straight onto it. Loungers, lawn, tall trees, nowhere to be.
18:00 — The Evening
Private verandahs, garden edges, villa braais for Family and Deluxe Family guests. Our team happily plates food you order in.
Or go out — then come back
Golf, beach, business or dinner out in the city — then back here to the pool, the garden and the verandah. Wake, breakfast, explore or work, return, unwind, sleep, wake again.
The story · The place, honestly told
The beginning, as we can verify it: a Victorian-style luxury guest house in Vincent, East London — 4-star, established, and known for warmth before anything else.
The transformation: newly built modern contemporary villas rose around the garden — sharp lines against the old gables, private entrances against shared verandahs.
Today: Luxury Rooms overlook the pool. Deluxe Rooms open onto private verandahs. Standard, Family and Deluxe Family villas keep their own front doors, garden views, kitchens and braais. One team, one breakfast table, one garden holding it together.
We claim no invented founding dates and no architectural legends — only what Devereux itself confirms.

Check-in from 2pm, check-out at 10am. Need to arrive sooner or leave later? Get in contact and we will arrange it where we can.
A delicious full English breakfast is included in room rates. Villa guests with self-catering kitchens are always welcome to join us — or request a special dinner.
Children under 3 stay with parents in the same room; children 12+ should have their own room. In villas: ages 0–5 stay free, ages 6–13 pay R350.
Parking is listed for every category. Family and Deluxe Family villas add private parking plus a private braai facility.
High-speed WiFi is complimentary. Guests enjoy complimentary access at a nearby off-site gym. Daily housekeeping is standard.
Five or more rooms counts as a group booking with special conditions. We do not allow pets — even cute ones.
All rates include 15% VAT. All bookings require a guarantee/deposit; we may release bookings where guarantee conditions are not met.
